SOUNDTRACK (Hugh's answers in italics) How did it feel to be approached by Robbie to produce 'Soundtrack’ after all these years? Mates. We’d always stayed in touch. How were these recordings different to 'After The Snow' & 'Ricochet Days'? OK. I’m not sure all my interventions on the previous albums had necessarily met with Robbie’s full enthusiasm. This time I took much more of a back seat. Which is your favourite track from ‘Sountrack’ and why? ‘Here Comes The Failure’. It’s a three chord ( four maybe) trick that celebrates its simplicity. Reminds me of ‘Learning To Fly’ by Tom Petty, in a good way. Would you be interested in producing the reformed line up of Modern English again? Yes , but only if I have COMPLETE CONTROL.
