The newly reformed Modern English will be performing their first concerts this week, starting tomorrow 10th July. If you are going to see them why not post your feedback on the show? What songs did they perform? which was your favourite? What was the audience like? etc. For those of us not able to attend it would be great to know what happened.

Thanks for the video link, Kraig. At last our first chance to see the guys in the reformed line up. I love the echoing guitar sound Gary is doing and some great close ups on the Steve's but what confuses me is where is Mick? You can hear the bass line being played but Mick the bass player isn't there. How mysterious!
I saw the show on Sunday and will post a review, setlist, etc...so check back. All i can say is that the guys blew their own material from ALL original albums out of the water! They never sounded so powerful and clean, fresh, new with the original members and new members too! The only person missing was Mick because of Visa issues, but he's trying to get that straightened out and back on the road in the USA. As Robbie mentioned on stage., " ...as you can notice we're missing a bass player, he's having visa issues, but really wanted to be here, but he will soon, he's working that out and will be on tour soon."
I wish i would have met Mick also, but i was honored to meet ALL members on Sunday night along with many fans, forum members, etc. I'll post a review ASAP but a review will NOT do this concert justice! Don't know how soon i will get to this but will try in the next few days to post all of this here. Hopefully some other fan members will pipe in and also explain discuss the Chicago performance, i mean, this show was as good as it gets, and it's ONLY their 2nd show of the tour!!!!! To be continued, with my post...
Update1: Here's the setlist Modern English played in Chicago at The Double Dour on Sunday July 11th.
After The Snow
Life In The Gladhouse
Hands Across The Sea
I Melt With You
16 Days [Encore]
Update2 : Here's some photo's from the Chicago gig:
There's some great photos here and a good video clip, but I'm also trying to work out a deal with Vintage Vinyl to get all 6 songs that they video taped to me for posting to Youtube and will try to link to the website, I'll update the latest about that on the website news section if it does happen.
I also noticed that Ric Chandler (drummer) wasn't playing drums here in this show, so this was electric acoustic...this venue is great in it's own right and sounds great, but does not compare to the Chicago full blown electric show with drums, full set, sound, etc.
I will be going to the Las Vegas show at Red Rocks Casino! I'm really looking forward to this as tomorrow is my 54th Birthday. What a wonderful birthday gift to have Modern English play here in Las Vegas!!
I just got back from their show tonight here in Las Vegas and I must say the Band did a wonderful job. The Venue itself though gets bad marks from Me. I live here and had never come to Red Rock Casino to see any band before; and I thought the place (Red Rock Lounge) is terribly run by people who have no clue how to run a concert. They wouldn't allow Modern English to sell any of their Merchandise there; and more than once the Casino Security people were Rude to me. My deepest thanks to Robbie who took my Album covers backstage and had all the band members autograph them for me. I've been a fan since the early 80's.
anyone have a setlist? i'm reviewing the Portland show & taking photos for QRO magazine & knowing what they're playing will help me prepare. i saw Kraig's set from Chicago above. Is it the same for the Sept dates? thanks, lloyd www.qromag.com
